OUR HISTORY: CLASS OF 1993, ONYX II
A tradition of freshman classes at Hampton University is to select a class name and mission to bring students together and foster a sense of unity and team spirit. In 1989, our class selected “Onyx” as our class name with Unity and Excellence without as Exception as our motto, symbolizing our strength and life-long bond. We are Onyx II.
(HU History Fact: The first Onyx class was the Class of 1984).
